Seven Ways to Make Your Dry January More Fun in The East Bay

Having a Dry January this year? For a number of reasons, many people decide to stop drinking alcohol in January, and there are definitely a number of benefits. Maybe you overindulged during the holidays, maybe drinking is getting in the way of your daily activities, or maybe your liver just needs a rest. Whatever the reason, we’re here to help.

Make it a Green January!

We all know that drinking too much can be harmful, but fortunately the opposite is true of cannabis drinks. While much research still needs to be done, we can safely say that overall having a cannabis beverage is better for your health than an alcoholic one. Many of our patients and patrons find that cannabis helps with a variety of symptoms. So put down the wine or beer this Dry January and pick up one of your favorite cannabis beverages. We have a variety of dosages for beginning to advanced consumers, and our consultants are happy to help you find the best product for your needs. We have deals on cannabis beverages all January long.

Green January Activities in the East Bay

The East Bay is home to a number of fun diversions that you can enjoy sober, or with a mild cannabuzz. For the sake of safety, go on foot or get a ride share before heading out to any of these diversions, and be sure to bring your own cannabis drinks where allowed.

1. Wildcat Canyon Regional Park

Check out one of the hidden gems of Richmond, Wildcat Canyon Regional Park. Enjoy the sights and sounds of woodpeckers, during the daytime, or (if you’re lucky) you’ll hear the resident Great Horned Owl hooting after dusk. Have an Atlas Pomegranate Green Tea mixed in your water bottle before you head in and have a great high hike. With 2.5mg per serving and an affordable price tag, you’ll be sure to enjoy everything nature has to offer at this great East Bay Regional Park.

2. Tacos El Tucan

One of many amazing taquerias in Richmond, Tacos El Tucan will blow your mind. They specialize in Tijuana style street tacos, and have regular, vegetarian and gluten free options. Vegan options can be made if you’re okay with menu hacking a little. It’s outdoor only seating, and if you’re mindful of your neighbors (or offer to share!) you can enjoy some Agua De Flor Horchata, Limonada Pepino, or Mango infused drinks with friends.

3. Rich City Rides

If you love being outdoors and feeling the wind in your hair, Rich City Rides has got you covered. They have scheduled group rides every week, and if you don’t have a bike they can sell you a great bike at their cooperatively run bike shop, or they can get you one for free through their free bike program. Their rides are inclusive of all, and they have pedicabs for folks who aren’t able to ride on two wheels.

Grab your perfect dose of Kikoko cannabis-infused herbal tea pouch or a fun ride around town. Many Kikoko drink mixes come in a pouch so you can blend it with your water and stay hydrated and elevated at the same time.

4. Richmond Pizza House

Richmond Pizza House

One of our favorite neighborhood pizza joints. Richmond Pizza House is fast, affordable, and super yummy. They have dine-in, takeout, and delivery options. They carry plenty of the traditional toppings, and also have vegan (cheese!) and vegetarian options. Perfect for when you have the munchies and want pizza right away! Richmond Pizza House is BYOB, so bring a Lagunitas Hi-Fi hops and enjoy!

5. Point Pinole Regional Shoreline

Watch the sun set over the bay at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline. A beautiful beach in Point Richmond, this woodsy hillside park is always popular and bustling with activity. You’ll enjoy the trees, sand, and beautiful bay view as you talk and snack with friends. Bring a picnic and a Mango Smoothie or House of Saka cannabis mimosa and enjoy an elevated afternoon on the water.

6. Home is Where the Mixed Drink is

Sometimes the most fun thing to do while having cannabis is staying home! Fortunately, there are a ton of fun things to do from your living room, kitchen, or backyard. Just one is Parks from Home, which allows you to travel to a number of parks virtually. Camp at home, take a virtual tour, or share your favorite park. They even have a Spotify playlist for your virtual road trip!

Put together one of these great cannabis infused mixed drinks and enjoy an evening with the people closest to you.
